Born in 1977, in Provo Utah. Malynda was surrounded by art from a very young age with an artist mother, a father that would cast sculptures in their backyard and uncles that sculpted. This constant exposure to the art world helped build and reinforce her desire to create art. Her medium of choice is clay, as it can easily move and capture the expression of the model.
Malynda received her BFA from Brigham Young University and her MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Both in Sculpture. She has also won several National and international competitions for her work, including the National Portrait Society, American Women Artists and The PACAF (Japan). Her work is in Public and Private collections across the United States. Malynda Currently resides in Pocatello, Idaho with her husband and two of her children.
